DoseCue Terms of Use and Medical Disclaimer

Effective Date: April 29, 2026

These Terms of Use and Medical Disclaimer govern your use of DoseCue(“DoseCue,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using the App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Important: DoseCue is a reminder and record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, medication recommendations, dosage recommendations, drug interaction checks, or emergency medical services. Always consult a qualified doctor, pharmacist, veterinarian, or other appropriate professional regarding medication, supplements, treatment, dosage, timing, missed doses, symptoms, side effects, or health-related decisions.

1. About DoseCue

DoseCue is an iOS health reminder app designed to help users create medication, supplement, injection, care, or wellness-related reminder plans. The App helps users:

  • create reminder plans;
  • record whether a task was completed, missed, or skipped;
  • confirm actual completion times;
  • adjust future reminder times based on user-confirmed events;
  • organize plans by person, family member, child, pet, or another optional ownership label;
  • view history, progress, and reminder-related information.

DoseCue is designed around a local-first experience. The App does not require our own account system or developer-operated business server for its core reminder functionality.

DoseCue does not currently provide a calendar integration feature. If calendar-related features are added in a future version, these terms or the Privacy Policy may be updated to describe them.

2. Medical Disclaimer

DoseCue is not a medical service, healthcare provider, pharmacy, veterinary service, clinical decision-making system, or medical device. The App is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, monitor, or prevent any disease, medical condition, or health condition.

The App does not determine whether a medication, supplement, injection, care task, or treatment is appropriate for you, another person, or a pet. The App does not recommend medications, supplements, dosages, timing, substitutions, interactions, missed-dose actions, or treatment plans.

Any next reminder time, projected task time, daily progress, adherence value, history item, statistic, widget, Live Activity, Dynamic Island display, or notification shown in the App is generated from information you enter and actions you confirm. These features are provided only for personal organization and convenience.

You should always follow instructions from your doctor, pharmacist, veterinarian, medication label, prescription, care provider, or other qualified professional. If DoseCue shows a time, record, reminder, or status that conflicts with professional medical instructions, you should follow the professional instructions and manually adjust the App if needed.

Missed, Early, Late, or Cross-Day Doses

DoseCue may allow you to record a dose or task as completed, missed, skipped, early, late, or carried across days. These labels are for personal tracking only. DoseCue does not tell you whether you should take, skip, delay, repeat, stop, or change any medication, supplement, treatment, or care routine.

If you are unsure what to do after missing a dose, taking a dose late, taking a dose early, or experiencing symptoms or side effects, contact a qualified healthcare professional immediately.

Pets and Dependents

DoseCue may allow users to organize reminders for pets, children, family members, or other dependents. The App does not provide veterinary, pediatric, caregiving, or medical advice. You are responsible for ensuring that any plan you enter is accurate and appropriate based on professional guidance.

3. Not for Emergencies

DoseCue is not designed for emergencies, urgent care, life-supporting treatment, critical alerts, or situations where a missed reminder could result in serious harm, injury, or death.

If you believe you, another person, or a pet may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services or a qualified medical or veterinary professional immediately.

4. Your Responsibility

You are responsible for the information you enter into DoseCue and for any decisions you make based on that information. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • medication, supplement, injection, or care task names;
  • daily task counts;
  • intervals between reminders;
  • first expected reminder times;
  • next-day reminder rules;
  • person, family member, child, pet, or ownership labels;
  • completion times;
  • missed or skipped task records;
  • notes, exported data, and history records;
  • device, iCloud, notification, widget, Live Activity, and alarm-related settings.

You should review all reminder plans carefully before relying on them. DoseCue does not verify whether the information you enter is medically appropriate, complete, current, safe, or accurate.

5. Reminders, Notifications, and Alarm Features

DoseCue may use iOS local notifications, alarm-related system capabilities, sounds, badges, or other Apple platform features to remind you about tasks. These reminders are provided for convenience only.

Notifications, alarms, sounds, badges, widgets, Live Activities, Dynamic Island displays, or other reminder methods may fail, be delayed, be silenced, be disabled, or behave differently depending on device settings, permissions, Focus modes, battery state, operating system behavior, network conditions, time zone settings, iCloud availability, system bugs, or other factors outside our control.

You should not rely solely on DoseCue for important, time-sensitive, high-risk, or medically critical reminders. You are responsible for maintaining any backup reminder method you consider necessary.

If the App offers system-level snooze or alarm behavior, any snooze action is a reminder-layer behavior only. DoseCue uses your final user-confirmed completion time as the basis for future schedule calculations, not merely the notification time, alarm time, or snooze time.

6. Local Data and Apple iCloud

DoseCue is designed around a local-first experience. Core reminder plans, task records, completion records, missed records, ownership labels, preferences, notes, and related app data are stored on your device by default.

DoseCue does not require a custom account system, and we do not operate our own business server for the App's core reminder functionality. We do not upload your medication names, reminder plans, dose records, missed records, ownership labels, widget content, Live Activity content, or related health information to our own servers.

For Pro users, supported DoseCue app data is designed to sync through Apple's iCloud services after Pro is activated. This helps reduce the risk of data loss when reinstalling the App, changing devices, or using multiple Apple devices.

Synced Pro data may include reminder plans, medication or supplement names, ownership labels, reminder schedules, completion records, missed or skipped records, notes, preferences, widget-related data, Live Activity-related data, and related app data.

DoseCue does not provide a separate in-app setting to switch Pro data back to local-only storage. However, iCloud availability and sync behavior may still depend on your Apple ID, iCloud account, device settings, network connection, available storage, iCloud settings, and Apple's system behavior.

Data processed by Apple services is subject to Apple's terms, Apple's privacy policy, your Apple ID settings, and your iCloud settings.

7. Free and Pro Features

DoseCue may offer a free version and a paid Pro version. The free version may limit certain capacity-based or convenience features, such as the number of medication plans, ownership labels, statistics, iCloud sync, widgets, Live Activities, Dynamic Island support, or other Pro features.

Pro may unlock additional functionality such as higher usage limits, more objects or ownership labels, complete statistics, iCloud sync, iOS widgets, Live Activities / Dynamic Island support, and other convenience features.

We may change, add, remove, rename, or modify features, pricing, or availability of free or paid features in future versions, subject to applicable law and App Store rules.

8. Pro Widgets, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island

DoseCue provides iOS widgets and Live Activities / Dynamic Island support as Pro features. These features help you view reminder-related information and current task status more conveniently.

Widget, Live Activity, and Dynamic Island content may display information such as upcoming reminders, medication or supplement names, ownership labels, current task status, completion status, and progress information.

Please be aware that widget, Live Activity, and Dynamic Island content may be visible on your device screen depending on your iOS settings, lock screen settings, home screen layout, StandBy settings, notification settings, Live Activity settings, and where you place or enable these features.

You are responsible for deciding whether it is appropriate to display health-related reminder information on widgets, the Lock Screen, StandBy, Live Activities, or Dynamic Island.

9. Purchases and App Store Terms

Pro features may be offered as a one-time in-app purchase through Apple's App Store payment system. Purchases, refunds, taxes, family sharing, payment processing, and purchase history are handled by Apple according to Apple's applicable App Store terms and policies.

We do not receive your full payment card information from Apple. The App may store purchase entitlement status locally or through Apple-provided purchase APIs in order to unlock paid features.

Your use of DoseCue may also be subject to Apple's applicable terms, including Apple App Store, Apple Media Services, and standard end-user license terms, as applicable.

10. Data Export

DoseCue may allow you to export your records for your own use. Exported files are created only when you choose to export data.

Exported files may contain information shown in the App, such as medication names, supplement names, reminder times, completion records, missed records, ownership labels, notes, statistics, and history information.

Once you export or share a file outside DoseCue, the handling of that file depends on the destination you choose, such as Files, Mail, Messages, AirDrop, iCloud Drive, or another app or service.

Please be careful when exporting or sharing health-related information.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse DoseCue or use it in a way that could harm the App, other users, Apple platform services, or any third party. You agree not to:

  • reverse engineer, modify, or attempt to extract the App's source code except where permitted by law;
  • use the App for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes;
  • use the App to provide professional medical, pharmaceutical, veterinary, or clinical services to others without appropriate qualifications and legal authority;
  • misrepresent the App as a medical device, medical service, pharmacy service, veterinary service, or clinical decision tool;
  • attempt to bypass paid feature restrictions, security protections, entitlement checks, or App Store purchase systems;
  • use the App in emergencies, critical care, life-supporting, or high-risk situations where failure could result in serious harm.

12. Availability and Accuracy

We aim to provide a useful and reliable reminder experience, but we do not guarantee that the App will always be available, accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, operating system version, region, setting, or future Apple platform change.

Reminder projections, notifications, alarms, widgets, Live Activities, Dynamic Island displays, history records, statistics, adherence calculations, and task states may be incomplete or inaccurate if information is entered incorrectly, permissions are disabled, system reminders fail, device time settings change, iCloud sync is unavailable, data is deleted, Pro entitlement cannot be verified, or the App is not opened for an extended period.

13. Intellectual Property

DoseCue, including its design, software, text, graphics, features, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to these terms and the applicable App Store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control.

14. Children, Dependents, and Pets

DoseCue is not intended for unsupervised use by young children. If you use the App to manage reminders for a child, family member, pet, or dependent, you are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions and for ensuring that all information is entered and used appropriately.

The App does not replace parental, caregiver, medical, pharmaceutical, or veterinary judgment.

15. Privacy

Your use of DoseCue is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how the App handles information, local storage, Pro iCloud sync, widgets, Live Activities, support emails, and related privacy matters.

You can review the Privacy Policy here: Privacy Policy.

16. Warranty Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DoseCue is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, availability, non-infringement, and suitability for any medical, health, caregiving, veterinary, emergency, critical reminder, or time-sensitive purpose.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, health-related harm, missed reminders, incorrect records, delayed notifications, failed alarms, iCloud sync issues, widget or Live Activity display issues, lost profits, loss of goodwill, device issues, or other damages arising from or related to your use of or inability to use DoseCue.

You acknowledge that medication, supplement, treatment, caregiving, and pet care decisions are your responsibility and should be made with appropriate professional guidance.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use and Medical Disclaimer from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means that you accept the updated terms.
