DoseCue Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DoseCue(“DoseCue,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the App.
1. About DoseCue
DoseCue is an iOS health reminder tool designed to help users create, confirm, adjust, and record medication, supplement, injection, care, or wellness-related reminder plans.
DoseCue helps users organize reminders and records. It is not a medical service, pharmacy service, veterinary service, emergency service, or clinical decision-making system.
2. Information You Enter in the App
Depending on how you use DoseCue, you may enter or generate information such as:
- medication names, supplement names, injection names, or care task names;
- daily reminder counts;
- reminder intervals;
- first expected reminder times;
- next-day reminder preferences;
- actual completion times confirmed by you;
- missed or skipped task records;
- task history and progress information;
- optional notes;
- optional ownership labels, such as “Me,” a family member, a child, or a pet;
- app preferences, such as notification, alarm, reminder, Pro, sync, widget, or Live Activity settings.
This information may be health-related or sensitive depending on what you choose to enter. DoseCue is designed to store this information locally on your device by default. For Pro users, supported app data is also designed to sync through Apple's iCloud services.
3. Local Storage
DoseCue is designed around a local-first experience. Your reminder plans, task projections, completion records, missed records, ownership labels, preferences, notes, and related app data are stored on your device by default.
We do not have access to the local DoseCue data stored on your device unless you choose to share it with us, for example by sending us an email or support message that includes screenshots, exported files, or other information.
If you delete the App, erase your device, disable relevant system storage, or remove app data, your local DoseCue data may be lost unless supported data has been synced through iCloud or another Apple system backup feature.
4. No Developer-Operated Server Collection
DoseCue does not require a custom account system and does not rely on our own business server for its core reminder functionality.
We do not collect, upload, sell, or share the following information with our own servers:
- medication names;
- supplement names;
- reminder schedules;
- ownership labels for people, family members, children, or pets;
- dose completion records;
- missed or skipped records;
- cross-day reminder behavior;
- health-related notes;
- local app history and progress records;
- widget content generated from your app data;
- Live Activity or Dynamic Island content generated from your app data;
- iCloud-synced DoseCue data.
We do not operate a developer-controlled cloud database for your core DoseCue reminder data.
5. Apple Platform Services
DoseCue uses Apple platform services and system capabilities to provide app functionality. These may include local notifications, alarm-related system capabilities, App Store services, in-app purchases, iCloud, widgets, Live Activities, Dynamic Island display surfaces, device storage, and other iOS features.
Apple may process certain information according to your Apple ID, device settings, iCloud settings, App Store settings, payment settings, notification settings, Live Activity settings, widget settings, and Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
We do not receive your full payment card information from Apple.
DoseCue does not currently provide a calendar integration feature. If calendar-related features are added in a future version, this Privacy Policy may be updated to describe how those features work.
6. iCloud Sync for Pro Users
DoseCue uses iCloud sync for Pro users as part of its supported Pro functionality. After Pro is activated, supported DoseCue app data is designed to sync through Apple's iCloud services to help reduce the risk of data loss when reinstalling the App, changing devices, or using multiple Apple devices.
Synced data may include reminder plans, medication or supplement names, ownership labels, reminder schedules, completion records, missed or skipped records, notes, preferences, widget-related data, Live Activity-related data, and related app data.
DoseCue does not provide a separate in-app setting to switch Pro data back to local-only storage. However, iCloud availability and sync behavior may still depend on your Apple ID, iCloud account, device settings, network connection, available storage, iCloud settings, and Apple's system behavior.
We do not operate our own cloud server for DoseCue's core reminder data. Data processed by Apple services is subject to Apple's terms, Apple's privacy policy, and your iCloud settings.
7. Notifications and Alarm Features
DoseCue may ask for notification or alarm-related permissions so it can remind you about scheduled tasks. Notification content is generated on your device based on the reminder plans you create.
The App may use local notifications, alarm-related system capabilities, sounds, badges, or other Apple-provided reminder features. These features are controlled in part by iOS permissions, device settings, Focus modes, sound settings, notification settings, battery state, time zone settings, and operating system behavior.
Notification times, alarm times, and system-level snooze behavior are reminder-layer features. DoseCue's internal task calculations are based on user-confirmed completion times and user-confirmed actions, not merely on notification or snooze times.
You can manage notification permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
8. Pro Widgets, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island
DoseCue provides iOS widgets and Live Activities / Dynamic Island support as Pro features. These features help you view reminder-related information and current task status more conveniently.
Widget and Live Activity content is generated from app data on your device or from app data made available through Apple platform features such as iCloud sync, depending on your device state and system settings.
Widget, Live Activity, and Dynamic Island content may display information such as upcoming reminders, medication or supplement names, ownership labels, current task status, completion status, and progress information.
Please be aware that widget, Live Activity, and Dynamic Island content may be visible on your device screen depending on your iOS settings, lock screen settings, home screen layout, StandBy settings, notification settings, Live Activity settings, and where you place or enable these features.
You can manage widgets, Live Activities, and related display behavior through supported iOS settings where available on your device and iOS version.
9. In-App Purchases and Pro Features
DoseCue may offer free features and paid Pro features. Pro features may be provided through a one-time in-app purchase using Apple's App Store payment system.
Pro may unlock additional functionality such as higher usage limits, iCloud sync, widgets, Live Activities / Dynamic Island support, statistics, or other convenience features.
Purchases, refunds, taxes, family sharing, and payment processing are handled by Apple according to Apple's applicable App Store terms and policies. We do not receive your full payment card details.
The App may store purchase entitlement status locally or through Apple-provided purchase APIs in order to unlock paid features.
10. Data Export
DoseCue may allow you to export your records for your own use. Exported files are created only when you choose to export data.
Exported files may contain information shown in the App, such as medication names, supplement names, reminder times, completion records, missed records, ownership labels, notes, statistics, and history information.
Once you export or share a file outside DoseCue, the handling of that file depends on the destination you choose, such as Files, Mail, Messages, AirDrop, iCloud Drive, or another app or service.
Please be careful when exporting or sharing health-related information.
11. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
DoseCue does not use third-party advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your health-related app data with advertisers, analytics providers, or data brokers. We do not use your health-related app data for targeted advertising.
We may view aggregated App Store information provided by Apple, such as downloads, purchases, conversion rates, crash reports, or general app performance information, as made available through Apple's developer tools. This information is provided by Apple and is not created by uploading your DoseCue medication plans, dose records, widget content, Live Activity content, or iCloud data to our own server.
12. Contact and Support Emails
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message, such as questions, screenshots, device information, exported files, or other details.
We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, troubleshoot issues, improve the App, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
Please avoid sending sensitive health information by email unless you understand and accept the risks of doing so.
13. Children, Family Members, and Pets
DoseCue is not intended for unsupervised use by young children. The App may allow users to organize reminders using optional ownership labels, such as a family member, child, or pet.
If you use DoseCue to manage reminders for a child, family member, pet, or dependent, you are responsible for entering accurate information and using the App under appropriate professional guidance.
DoseCue does not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers.
14. Data Retention and Deletion
Because DoseCue is designed around a local-first experience, your local app data generally remains on your device until you delete it, modify it, export it, disable relevant system features, or delete the App.
You may delete or edit plans and records inside the App where supported. You may also delete the App from your device to remove locally stored app data, subject to iOS behavior and any enabled backup or sync settings.
For Pro users, supported DoseCue app data is designed to sync through Apple's iCloud services. Deleting local app data, deleting the App, changing devices, or reinstalling the App may not automatically remove data that has already been synced through iCloud. You may need to manage related data through iOS Settings, iCloud settings, or your Apple ID settings.
DoseCue does not provide a separate in-app setting to switch Pro data back to local-only storage. If you want to manage iCloud availability or synced data, you may need to use iOS Settings, iCloud settings, Apple ID settings, or Apple-provided data management tools.
Emails you send to us may be retained as needed to provide support, maintain business records, improve the App, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.
15. Security
We design DoseCue to minimize developer-operated data collection by keeping core reminder data on your device by default and by using Apple platform services for supported system features such as iCloud sync, notifications, widgets, Live Activities, Dynamic Island, and in-app purchases.
However, no device, app, operating system, storage method, sync service, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple ID, passcode, biometric settings, backups, iCloud account, widgets, Live Activities, lock screen, and exported files secure.
16. International Users
DoseCue may be available to users in different countries or regions. If you use Apple platform services, contact us by email, make purchases, use Pro iCloud sync, use widgets, use Live Activities or Dynamic Island, or export data to another service, information may be processed in accordance with the terms and privacy practices of the relevant service providers and applicable laws.
17. Medical and Health Disclaimer
DoseCue is a reminder and record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, medication recommendations, dosage recommendations, drug interaction checks, emergency services, or professional healthcare guidance.
Reminder times, next-task projections, progress indicators, history records, statistics, widgets, Live Activities, Dynamic Island displays, and notifications are generated based on information you enter and actions you confirm. They are provided only for personal organization and convenience.
Always consult a qualified doctor, pharmacist, veterinarian, or other appropriate professional regarding medication, supplements, treatment, dosage, timing, missed doses, side effects, or health-related decisions.
If you believe you, another person, or a pet may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services or a qualified medical or veterinary professional immediately.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above.
Your continued use of DoseCue after an updated Privacy Policy becomes available means that you accept the updated policy.
